Steak Media’s Expansion Creates Need for Key Staff Hires
Melanie Clark has joined as Group Account Director of the Steak’s planning and buying department. She has over 14 years’ media experience, the first 6 in IT publishing, the last 8 in online. After cutting her teeth at IT publisher VNU, working on market leading titles such as Computing and Computeractive; Mel moved into online in 1999, joining the then sales team of 4 at MSN. She then went on to run the sales team for easyInternetCafe, representing online and ambient media and other revenue building opportunities such as white labelled search and developing a commercial portal offering.
From 2002-2004 she was Account Director for the GNER website development account, during which time online ticket sales doubled, and the team handled the transfer of the back-end ticketing engine to thetrainline.com. Her most recent sales experience has been managing sales teams for B2B email house Emedia, and DGM, the affiliate network.
Moving from sales into planning & buying in 2005, Mel joined DR agency All Response Media (part of the EHS Brann Group) She joined Steak Media in November 2007.
Another notable staff addition in recent months has been Emma Hovell as Marketing Manager. Emma joins Steak Media from search marketing agency, Latitude and reports to Peter Suchet, Marketing Director, previously of Ilevel.
