British Gas has appointed Steak Media as its search agency, as the utilities provider looks to remain ahead of the pack in an increasingly competitive space.

British Gas has seen rivals including EON and Powergen increase visibility both on and offline in the past month, and is looking, through a £10m online marketing budget, to increase sales and customer care.
