The panel looked at how search is much more than just a direct response medium. it's about branding too. For the record, I think that the whole direct response v. branding argument is redundant. Consumers don't view advertising in that way so why are marketers?
Anyway back to the panel! We spoke not only about the branding benefits of search marketing but also about the different brand tactics you can use with search. Also on the panel were John Battelle (Federated Media), Sherwood Shranieri (SMG Search) and Joshua Stylman (Reprise Media). And yes, the panel was televised....here's the video. Enjoy!
